Jaimee Harmon-Taboni (she/her) is a director, teaching artist, and theater administrator based in Austin, TX.
Jaimee is a director of new work, classics and adaptations of classics, and theatre for young audiences. Through her work, she seeks to center a wide range of experiences and to uplift stories and voices of all people - especially those who have been historically underrepresented. She loves work that incorporates comedy, horror, and surrealism to braid intimate personal stakes with large-scale societal questions.
As a teaching artist, Jaimee works with K-12 students, creating and teaching short and long-term lesson plans and directing both scripted and devised performances.
Jaimee is passionate about the opportunities theater creates to teach empathy, and therefore seeks to create theater that is both an exciting event and a vehicle for self-reflection. Her work fosters community and encourages introspection among students, artists, and audiences alike.
